Using Soclo AI
Soclo AI is the chat inside the app. You open it with the Soclo AI pill in the top bar, type what you want in an ordinary sentence, and it plans, writes, schedules, posts, searches the internet and answers questions about your own business. It never posts or spends anything without you tapping first.
Where is Soclo AI?
In the top bar of the app, on every screen, there is a pill that reads Soclo AI. Tap it and the chat slides over what you were doing. Several screens also carry an Ask Soclo AI box; that opens the same chat, already aware of the screen you were looking at.
What do I say to it?
Anything you would say to somebody who works for you. There is no prompt to learn. When the chat is empty it shows Try asking and three starting points you can tap:
- Plan & schedule my week
- Make a photo carousel
- Plan an ad to win customers
The input reads Ask Soclo AI anything…. While it is working it changes to tell you it is working and how to stop it.
How do I know where an answer came from?
Soclo AI can search the internet, and when it has, it shows you the sources under the answer. Ask it what is going on in your trade this week, or what a competitor down the road is doing, and you get the answer plus the places it read. That is the part to use: check one before you act on it.
Questions about your own business do not need the internet. It can already see your brand, your library, your posts, your results and your connected accounts.
How do I get a post out of it?
Ask for one. It comes back as a card in the chat with the picture, the caption and three buttons: Post now, Schedule and Edit. There are also refine chips — Shorten, Rephrase and Regenerate — for when it is nearly right.
Nothing happens to the post until you tap. If you schedule it, the card changes to Scheduled with a link reading View in calendar; if you post it, it says Posted with a link to your posts.
Can Soclo AI spend my money?
No, not by itself, and this is worth understanding properly because it is the question everybody has.
Anything that costs money is shown to you with the cost before it happens, and waits for your tap. An advert Soclo AI plans is a draft. The card says so in those words: nothing is spent until you launch it in Ad Campaigns.
The money confirm lives in Ad Campaigns, not in the chat. It is a plain question — Start spending £X a day? — with Not yet beside the button that starts it.
The same shape applies to making content. If an idea costs more than the cap you set, Soclo asks you about that one idea rather than quietly going ahead or quietly dropping it.
What else can it do from the chat?
- Turn Autopilot on, with a confirm card that shows what it will cost, so switching it on is a decision rather than a side effect. Autopilot cannot switch itself on from saving a goal or from a message.
- List, approve and reject Autopilot drafts, the same ones you would see in Strategy.
- Set your targets, so the plan has something to aim at.
- Start and pause ads, with the same spending confirm Campaigns uses.
- Change the words on your website from a sentence. Ask for the headline or a paragraph to change and it shows you a preview first; the change lands only when you confirm it. Product prices and Pay buttons are a deliberate exception — those are changed in the editor, not by sentence, because they take money.
- Answer questions about the trial, Ads Watch, your website and Payments, because it knows about all of them.
Can I go back to an old conversation?
Yes. It remembers earlier conversations, and the panel keeps Your chats so you can reopen one. New chat starts a fresh one. Use a new chat when you change subject — a long thread about October's plan is not the best place to ask about a refund.
What it will not do
- It will not quote prices at you as a sales pitch, and it will not name other products.
- It will not post to an account you have not connected. See connecting your accounts.
- It will not pretend. Ask for something it cannot do and it says so.

Common questions
Where do I find Soclo AI?
It is the Soclo AI pill in the top bar of the app, on any screen. Tap it and the chat opens over whatever you were doing. There is also an Ask Soclo AI box on several screens, which opens the same chat with that screen already in mind.
Can Soclo AI search the internet?
Yes, and it shows you where the answer came from. When it has looked something up, the sources appear under the answer so you can check them rather than take its word for it.
Can it post for me?
It can write a post and hand it to you on a card with Post now, Schedule and Edit. Nothing goes out until you tap one of those. If you schedule it, the card changes to Scheduled and gives you a link to see it in your calendar.
Can it spend my money?
Not on its own. Anything that costs money shows the cost first and waits for you. An ad it plans is a draft, and the card says so: nothing is spent until you launch it in Ad Campaigns, where a separate confirm shows the daily amount.
Does it remember what we talked about?
Yes. It remembers earlier chats, and your past conversations are kept in Your chats inside the panel so you can open one again rather than start from nothing. New chat starts a clean one when you want a fresh subject.
What if I ask for something it cannot do?
It says so. It is built to tell you what it cannot do rather than produce something that looks like an answer.
