Adding Soclo to the AI you already use

Soclo MCP is one address — https://mcp.soclo.app/mcp — that you add to Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Kimi or anything else that speaks MCP. After that you can ask for marketing work in the chat you are already in, and Soclo does the brand, the making, the pricing and the posting through your own account.

What is MCP, in plain English?

MCP is the agreed way an AI assistant reaches a real service on your behalf. Without it, an assistant can write you a caption but cannot put it anywhere. With it, your assistant can ask Soclo to do the actual work — and everything it does happens as you, under your account's own rules.

You are not installing anything, and you are not moving anything into a new app. It is the same Soclo account, reached from a different door.

How do I add it?

There are three steps, whichever assistant you use.

1. Open where your assistant keeps its MCP servers or connectors.
2. Add a custom one and paste https://mcp.soclo.app/mcp.
3. Sign in to Soclo on the page that opens, and tick the permissions you want.

Claude

Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the address, add it, then sign in to Soclo and approve what you want. On a Team or Enterprise plan an admin may need to allow connectors first.

Claude is the client we have connected and driven end to end.

ChatGPT

Settings, then Connectors, then Advanced, then turn on Developer mode. Add a custom connector with the Soclo address and pick OAuth, then sign in. Developer mode is in beta, and connector support is widest on Business and Enterprise workspaces.

Grok

Open Connectors, then New connector, then Custom. Enter the Soclo address and sign in. Custom connectors need a paid xAI plan.

Kimi

Use the command line: kimi mcp add --transport http --auth oauth soclo https://mcp.soclo.app/mcp, then sign in. Kimi's phone and web chat apps have not added custom MCP servers yet, so the command line is the route there.

Anything else

If it speaks remote MCP with a normal sign-in, it works. The MCP page lists the exact steps for Claude Code, Perplexity, Cursor, VS Code, Zed, the Gemini and Codex command lines, LM Studio and more.

What am I agreeing to on the sign-in page?

Soclo's own page opens — not your assistant's — and it lists each permission as a sentence, under the line You're allowing this assistant to:. They are worth reading rather than waving through. A few of them:

• Read your saved brand identity, voice and visual style. This is what stops the output sounding like nobody.
• Plan adverts and storyboards for you — always free. Planning never spends anything.
• Film approved videos and images — spends your credits, always with the price quoted first.
• Publish selected saved library media and your caption to social destinations you choose.
• Send a reply, as you, to a comment or message — only ever after you confirm the exact text.
• Create and change paid ad campaigns — always created paused; nothing spends until you confirm the budget.
• Search, price, buy and connect domains — domains cost real money outside credits.

Beneath them, the page says the thing that matters: you can disconnect at any time, and your password is used by Soclo to sign you in and is never shared with the assistant.

What do I actually say to it?

Ordinary sentences. Some that work:

• “Read my brand and plan three posts for this week.” — free, nothing made yet.
• “What would a 15-second video for the new flavour actually cost?” — free, and the number is real.
• “Find everything I have saved about the summer menu.” — an honest empty list if there is nothing.
• “Make that one, then post it to Instagram and Facebook.” — spends only what you approved.
• “Change the headline on my website to the new opening hours.”
• “Set up a £50 campaign for the new product, but do not spend yet.” — created paused.

You can also name a template: say “use the Lower thirds skill” and your assistant asks Soclo for exactly that. The template library is the full list.

What will it not do?

• It will not make anything before you have seen the price. Planning, quoting and searching your library are free every time.
• It will not start an ad campaign. Campaigns are created paused, and spending needs you to confirm the budget, the currency and the type.
• It will not send a reply you have not written.
• It will not post without showing you first. Publishing comes back as a preview, and goes out only when you confirm it.
• It will not post to a channel you have not connected, or invent one that is not there.
• It will not guess. Ask for something Soclo cannot do and it says so.

How do I disconnect it?

Go to mcp.soclo.app/connections, sign in, and use Disconnect all assistants. Access stops immediately and the page confirms it: your connected assistants can no longer reach this Soclo account. Reconnecting later is the same three steps as before.
